Villains of The Dark Knight Trilogy and their transformation into the character.
Nolan has done an excellent job in casting not only the highest quality actor to play each role, but actors who physically look like the character and are committed to portray the roles accurately.
When you think of superhero villains, they derive from the comic books so when implementing them in a film, there’s always going to be an element of over the top fiction. Nolan, however, has done an incredible job injecting a sense of realism into each character. This is what separates Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy from any other superhero film. Nolan showcases a film of the superhero and comic book genre that is more than just a superhero film.
We see what is usually the over the top fictional characters made into real people that could actually exist. Nolan has found the perfect medium of blending the comic book world with the real world and it has made his films one of the highest grossing films of all time. No director has ever taken a name brand franchise such as Batman and made it as big as Nolan has. He might not ever receive his Oscar for these Batman films, but his peers recognize what he has done…and for Nolan, that is more than enough.
